Are You HIITing Your Workouts Too Hard?
Nov 12, 2019I've been wanting to HIIT you guys up with this topic for a while because it's important to know that the type of exercise you do plays a major role in your body's stress level.
Many clients of mine come to me discouraged when they aren't seeing changes in their bodies after believing that they have the perfect nutrition plan + workout regimen.
When in reality, their high-intensity workouts are causing more harm than good.
Now don't get me wrong, high-intensity interval training can be beneficial IF done correctly. That's why in this episode I break down the pros and cons of incorporating HIIT workouts in your training routine.
IN THIS EPISODE I TALK ABOUT
- My new fitness membership, Core Studio!! (1:35)
- The benefits of HIIT workouts (5:01)
- Why I’m not focused on weight loss (9:13)
- The drawbacks of HIIT workouts (11:05)
- Checking in with your stress levels (12:50)
- Finding your WHY (19:58)
An important piece to remember is to NOT focus on losing weight but rather focus on how your body feels.
Need strength training? Go for it. Need a run? Do it! Need a day to rest? Take it.
Listen to what your body needs from you today + don't overdo it.
That is why I created my Core Studio membership. I want to show you that less time, less intensity and less stress does not mean less effective. The workouts are designed with YOU in mind as they range from strength to flow to fit whatever your body is craving that day.
