How To Improve Your Energy
Aug 16, 2021You might *think* your over-sugared Starbucks drink is enough to give you energy throughout your day.
>>But in order to improve your daily energy, you need to check in with your daily habits FIRST.<<
I want to continue getting healthier year after year, and with that I have learned a lot about how everything in the body is connected.
You might be thinking: "I workout and eat pretty good, I don't know what else there is for me to do."
Well friend, I’m here to tell you that there is more to improving your energy than just exercise and nutrition.
>>There is a strong connection between the mind and the body that often gets overlooked.<<
And the best part? I want to help YOU better understand your own brainpower!
Below is just one of the ways you can improve your energy to avoid that afternoon Starbucks line!
Reframing Thoughts
When you catch yourself feeling or thinking that you're tired, reframe it by telling yourself that you DO have energy. This is because the brain tends to gravitate towards the negative.
By telling yourself that you're tired and exhausted, you are creating a habit developed by strong neuropathways in the brain. Reframing your thoughts can rewire your brain into believing that you have more energy.
Here are some ways that I work to improve my mindset to establish better neuropathways in my brain. Let's dive in!
1. Breathwork
No matter how much time - or lack of time - you have on your hands, breathwork is a tool that I love to have in my back pocket because it benefits the body in so many ways.
Improving your breathwork can enhance the oxygenation of the cells in your body and brain to increase your energy. *Our brain needs some love too!*
2. Movement
To get the most out of your movement practice, I recommend doing exercise that makes you lengthened, connected, and empowered while avoiding exercise that leaves you feeling depleted.
A gentle movement practice can help you be present as you connect your mind to your body and wake up the fascial layers to reenergize your body.
