Squat Technique Explained by a Core Exercise Specialist
Mar 11, 2021Are you doing your squats correctly?
You might be thinking, "Duh, Erica! I've been doing squats my whole life!"
After working with thousands of women inside Core Rehab, I have found that it's common for women to squat incorrectly and in a way that's causing pain and dysfunction in their bodies.
Throughout all of my programs, I take you back to the basics so you can learn how to move correctly and create a solid foundation to build upon.
And that’s why I created a short tutorial on how to properly squat that can be applied to your daily life!
In this video, I’ll explain 3 common techniques to enhance the way you do squats. They are:
- Stance: Hips, knees, and feet are in alignment
- Tucking Booty: This is a BIG NO-NO for squats and proper pelvic floor connection
- Overarched: Just like tucking your booty, make sure to not overarch in your low back
