The Importance of Strength Training
Aug 31, 2021Do you ever find yourself saying, "I need to get stronger to keep up with my kids"?
*Friend, I have been there, done that.*
Then I realized that I don't have to try to fit hour-long workouts at the gym into my daily routine to strengthen my body.
It definitely was hard for me to overcome the harder is better mindset, but now I have the understanding that 10-minutes is all it takes to get real results in less time.
Now, I know I say that fascial strength is more important than muscular strength... but who says you can't have both?
Strength training involves control, space, and consistency. These are vital components to any style of workout. Let's dive into the importance of strength training and how you can get real results in less time.
Manage Pain and Discomfort
Strengthening your body can minimize pain and discomfort by creating stability in your body. As you begin to implement strength training, you want to ensure that you're bringing awareness to how you're holding your body.
>> You shouldn't leave your workout feeling worse than when you started.<<
If you are experiencing pain after you finish a strength workout, here are some things you can do:
- Decrease the weight
- Do fewer reps
- Shorten your range of motion
- Avoid the exercise for right now
Enhance Quality of Life
Once you get rid of pain and discomforts in your body, you can get back to doing the things in life that you love.
>>Let the right muscles do the work to improve the functionality of your body.<<
Building muscle in the right areas is what will set you up for success as you age. You're only as strong as your weakest link.
Use strength training to balance out your body. It will be the energy booster that your body needs to enhance your quality of life.
Manage A Healthy Weight
No, I'm not talking about losing 50 pounds here.
Why?
Because a healthy weight looks different for everyone.
One goal I have for myself is that I want to get healthier as I age
*And I want the same for you too, Beautiful.*
Managing your weight has many benefits like increasing your metabolism and improving heart health. But above all else it allows you to feel confident in your health.
I don't promote fitness for vanity's sake. I do what I do to show women what's possible for their bodies.
Once you know the why behind your movement practice, then you're ready to commit to showing up every day to strengthen your body with effective workouts.
If you don't know where to start with that one, don't worry, I’ve got you covered.
