Weight Loss Tips For Women

lifestyle Jul 30, 2021

Do you feel like you've done everything and you still can't get those last few pounds off?

*Beautiful, I have been there.*

For years, I felt like I had to workout harder to get the results I wanted.

>>It wasn’t until I took a step back and started looking at my health as a whole that I felt empowered in the decisions I was making for my body.<<

If you’ve been feeling the same way, here are 3 things to make your weight loss journey more successful:

1. Decrease your sugar intake.

This one is not Earth-shattering information, but it's a great reminder if your goal is to lose weight. The more you eat sugar, the more you crave it.

If you can do a 180 and cut it out completely, great! But that’s not most people and I believe that small changes are what's going to get you big results.

Instead of sugar, increase protein in your diet, eat more vegetables, and add in good quality fats. Be careful though because if you're still eating sugar AND start upping your fat it could have the opposite effect of weight loss.

2. Answer this question: “Why do you want to lose weight?”

I don't know about you, but I think the easiest answer to this question is for vanity's sake.

*I want you to go deeper than that?*

  • What will you have the ability to do if you lose the extra weight?
  • Do you need to lose weight to be healthier?
  • What can it do for your health? What does being healthier mean for you?
  • How will losing weight make you feel?
  • Do you want to live a quality better life?

I can't answer these questions for you...only you can because every one of our journeys is different.

When you start doing the deeper work and searching for what it is you really want, then you can find out what you're capable of.

3. Decrease stress in your life.

Stress is something that I believe needs to be talked about more in relation to weight loss.

*High stress does not always equal high cortisol.*

From the women that I work with, it's common that they don't have enough cortisol which causes them to feel tired all the time. *I remember being in a place where no amount of sleep ever felt like enough.*

Over the years, research has shown that stress is at the root of so many symptoms and dysfunction in the body. Take a look at the stressors in your life and what steps you need to take to decrease them so you can live the life that you love.
